Miriam is originally from Germany. There, she graduated from Freie Universität Berlin where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Following her deep interest in Political Research and Foreign Affairs, she went on to study at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, where she received a graduate degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations.
